Cooperstown

Arranged a car for a day trip out to Cooperstown today. Long trip out so left at 5am to maximise the day. Truly a baseball town - most stores in town make bank purely on travellers coming through, and a few don't even bother opening during winter. Some very cool one-off stuff.

The Hall of Fame Museum is amazing and probably needs a full day (or more) to appreciate the scale of the displays. Since it was quiet, got one of the guides to walk with me and tell some stories about the players and items.

The HOF gallery was the highlight. Plenty of 70's porn mo's on display - including one of the best, Michael Jack Schmidt

Talking with the locals, the induction of Ripken and Gwynn this year will be huge - expecting 50k people over the weekend. Considering there are just over 2k in the regular population, the stores are keen to get their slice.
